Duties:
Understanding of FTTH Network
Understanding of fault finding – fibre optics
Must be able to repair cable faults
Must be able to splice joints and panels
We are currently maintaining the FTTH fibre network – the role of the technician is to troubleshoot and fix customers faults as well as major cable breaks as well as reinstallations.
Requirements:

Matric Certificate or equivalent
Tertiary level IT or Telecommunications qualification is preferred
3 years' experience performing fibre installations
A FOA certificate is advantageous
Valid code 8 drivers license

Duties:
Supervising network deployment, underground and aerial.
Approval planning and existing guidelines
Operations and maintenance of Aerial FTTH network.
Ensuring construction progress in terms of time, quality and budget and homes passed
Supervising work quality, civil work, cable splicing, test and quality check
Implementing of new connections orders
Local contact in the construction phase for municipal institutions, authorities and external
Minimum 3 years’ experience dealing with Aerial Fibre
Planning and implementation of preventive risk and escalation management
Examine and track compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Continuous reporting to overall project management.

Green Card Solar COC compliance
